Going Live with a domain in a fasthosts account

IMPORTANT: Please make sure you have given us the domain name in advance of changing your DNS, we need to add this in the the host name page in the site settings prior to you making any changes for this to work.

Below you will see instructions showing where you need to add the records in your Fasthost account. You will need to add two A records and one TXT record. I've added the text you need to add in red in the attached screengrabs.

Step 1. Log into your account and access the Advanced DNS section

Fasthost Step 1

Step 2. This shows the sections you will need to edit, and when you've finished you should have the same settings as in this screengrab. NB. If you have records in place you can select to 'edit' them rather than adding another record.

Fasthost Step 2

Step 3. Add the first A record, this should be blank in the first field and have '85.13.213.3' in the IP address field.

Fasthost Step 3

Step 4. Add the second A record. This should have 'www' in the first field and have '85.13.213.3' in the IP address field. Do NOT change any other A records.

Fasthost Step 4

Step 5. Select to add the TXT record – this is the very last section on the advanced DNS page.

Fasthost Step 5

Step 6. this should show 'v=spf1 mx a:smtpweb.uk.endis.com ~all' (without the quotes)

Fasthost Step 6

It can take a few hours for the records to propagate, so please don't be alarmed if you don't see the site straight away. If you have previously visited this domain from your browser you may need to clear your cache in order to see the new site.

If you could please get back to us when you have set the A records, we can then apply for the certificate to enable your site to appear via https. We can't do this until the DNS is set to point to our server, and until this is done the site will point back to the hubb.church url to enable it to appear over https.
